Story:

“Sadly Remus, I fear you’re going to have to put up with this storm during your run.” Jacob sighed and looked up at the sky, blinking in the drizzle that fell from the darkening clouds.

Remus sat on his horse like he had no cares in the world, and shook his head to look at his boss as he spoke. “Hm? Oh. The rain? Snow here is a pro at dealing with the elements while competing," the boy said while patting his horses thick neck. Coming from Rome, these two had been through a lot of nasty weather. You could tell that the atmosphere around them didn't bother the stallion. The blue tinted grey stood there patiently, his ears flicking around as he listened to the distant sound of thunder that started rolling in.

“Well here, take these,” Jacob said, holding out a pair of goggles for the boy. Remus raised an eyebrow and shook his head.

“Those won’t be necessary. But thanks,” he said. Jacob looked at the boy then sighed and shrugged.

“If you say so.”

“I do.”

It was Remus’ and Snow’s turn. And the weather was only getting worse. The two trotted around to get the stallion warm for this course that the boy knew was going to be challenge. Snow was used to cross country courses and obstacles, but from the sights of the course, he was going to be put through the test. The beginning of the race went well, it only raining softly. But by the time the team hit the water obstacles, the skies just opened up and sent buckets down on them. The rain and mud flying everywhere was making it hard for Remus to see, and he started to regret not taking those goggles from Jacob.

“Keep it up Snow. You’re doing great. Keep going,” the boy encouraged the stallion on, who was running and flying with such grace and power, that Remus was not really all that worried.
